Description
Yongli A2s is a sealed CO₂ laser tube rated 90–100 W. It emits an infrared beam at 10.6 µm, which cuts and engraves wood, acrylic, leather, paper and MDF.
Installation and mounting
The tube is mounted horizontally in the laser body. Water hoses (cooling) connect to both ends; the high-voltage (HV) cable from the power supply connects to one of them. Do not mix up the polarity: a wrong connection will damage the tube. The beam exits from the opposite end — the side where the tube has its lens and where the first mirror is.
Cooling
The tube needs a continuous water flow. Before switching on, check that water is flowing. Use it with the CW3000 chiller; water — distilled, 15–25 °C.
Power
Drive the tube with the Yongli YL-U1 power supply or an equivalent. The power supply receives the power signal from the controller (0–5 V or PWM). Always switch the tube on after the cooling; after switching off, keep cooling for another 3–5 minutes — this simple step extends the tube’s life.
Caution
The high-voltage (HV) power supply carries more than 20,000 V while running. If you need to touch the power supply or the laser tube, switch off the power first and wait until the capacitor is fully discharged — about 5–10 minutes.
